Frequently Asked Questions
YellowMarket offers you 5 different types of ads. It is not possible to switch between different ad types once an ad is live. Available types are:
- Classified (For Sale) Ads
- Wanted Ads
- Exchange Ads
In order to participate in any auction first you need to register an account. Once you have an account visit any auction and in the sidebar you will notice a bidding box.
Bellow the input for the bid amount you will see the minimum value you must place. Once the auction is finished, and if you’ve won, you will receive a confirmation email.
A list of all auctions in which you are currently, or have been participating in, is displayed inside your profile under Auctions.
In order to promote your ads you must navigate to your submitted ads page and click the yellow ads button. It will open a pop-up with a list of all available promotions on YellowMarket as well as your currently active promotions for that particular ad.
List of available promotions are:
- Highlight Ad (this will make your ad stand out from others, it is colored to stand out)
- Top Ad (make your advert appear in the first 3 positions as well as in it’s regular listing position)
- Urgent Ad (display urgent ribbon on advert)
All of them have multiple packages available depending on the length of time you wish to promote your advert.
Once you have selected promotion type and period you can proceed to payment (Stripe/Paypal). Once the payment is cleared your promotion will be activated. Promotion starts from the time when payment is cleared and not from time the promotion is requested.
Personal account users have to pay a small fee per listing (or they can buy bulk listing packages at a discount):
- Single Ad – $19
- 5 Ads (Bronze) – $79
- 10 Ads (Silver) – $99
- 20 Ads (Gold) – $139
Dealer (and Dealer Premium) user accounts have FREE unlimited ads but pay a set monthly fee.
Dealer Premium accounts can also take advantage of 50% OFF discount on all advert promotions.
In order to retrieve phone number of the seller go to their profile page (or any advert from that user) and you will notice block with phone number to contact them.
If you wish to start a private messaging conversation with the seller, you must first create an account. Once you have created your account navigate to any of his ads and you will notice button for sending a private message. All of your messages are available from your profile. There you will see a messaging system where you will be able to continue conversations in real-time when you are both online.
There are two types of reviews – buyer and seller. First step is to register on our marketplace. Next you need to send a message to a seller. Once the seller responds to your message you will both be able to review each other, so it pays to be polite and keep up a good reputation in our marketplace.
When users visit your profile they will be able to see your overall rating, a complete list of your reviews and a filter to display them.
Once you post a review it can not be changed. Harmful reviews will be moderated and removed if deemed inappropriate. Sellers have the option to respond to all reviews.
If you have found an advert which you want to visit later or possibly contact the seller later, etc. you can mark it as Favorite (click the heart) and it will be saved to your Favorite list which you can access from your profile dashboard.
If you feel like an advert is breaking any rules, you can report it directly from the advert page by clicking on the Report button and writing a detailed reason. Adverts will remain active until an administrator checks it out.
